"Motor City Mama" is a 2021 Manuel composition written in a similar style to the band's debut single: "Rock N' Roll Refugee" (available on Spotify). The bassline (doubled on the lead guitar) is the starting point to the song, which culminates in a chorus with stacked harmonies. An ode to Detroit, USA, "Motor City Mama" lives on the themes of an adrenaline-inducing Motor City drag race and the young lust associated with a love interest.
